Gardens

Our Organic Gardens are located in Beeton, ON.

Sitting on approx. four acres of fallow field/meadow with forested land surrounding three sides, our gardens are a very special place that will transport you to another place. It is a place where the land meets the sky. This land has a beautiful and peaceful energy that lends itself to healing and growing medicines. We have been sitting with, listening to and working with the land since we arrived in 2018.

The gardens area has a gentle rolling but significant hill on the north end, and a creek that meanders through the land bordering the Eastern edge. The gardens itself are in very bright, mixed meadow with a small planted forested spot around a water hole. There are many truly beautiful spots on this land that lend themselves to thoughtful contemplation, gathering medicines, and learning from nature.

We spent our initial years just observing the land, the surrounding farming practices, taking note of what was growing here naturally, and in what proportions, what wildlife was present, how the water moved through the land, and how light and heat affected the land. We found was an incredible diversity of species of flora and fauna within a fairly small radius that we call the gardens.

In 2021 we began defining the central heart of the garden, and cutting some trails and pathways throughout, following a planting of winter wheat from the previous year.

Since then, we have expanded and continue to plant what we can each year, gradually increasing the biodiversity and our ability to tend and gather medicinal plants for use in our clinic.
