Apprenticeship Program
This is an immersive mentorship program that will explore various aspects of working with medicinal plants, from getting to know our local wild medicinal herbs, cultivating and harvesting herbs our own, to expanding our awareness through immersion with the landscape and Nature.
This program is suited for those with existing knowledge on medicinal plants, such as herbalists, naturopaths and advanced herbal students. We will not be covering basic introductory subjects so students should have solid foundation of botanical names, herbal actions, physiology and pathology.
We will focus on ensuring that participants can confidently identify local Ontario medicinal herbs, harvesting considerations, and growing organic production gardens for our own apothecaries/dispensaries.
We will work on how to continually expand our knowledge of plant medicines, the natural world, and health & wellness, while cultivating and preparing our own medicines.
