Creative and Practical Applications of Plants
In this workshop series we will explore various techniques and traditional crafts that will teach us about how things are made with plant. The plants supply us with so much – from food and medicine to materials, fuel and creative tools.
The intent of this program is to share with others the many ways we as humans interact with and rely on plants for fulfilling certain roles in our creative practices.
Each workshop in this series will have a different theme where we will learn how to use plants from nature to accomplish our outcomes.
These themes include:
Making Paper – Harvest to Product (June)
Weaving the landscape (July)
Making Containers – Basketry and Barkcraft (August)
Making Paints and other Visual Art Mediums (September)
Making Natural Inks & Dyes (October)
